Miedzybrodzie Bialskie is a picturesque village positioned in the Beskid Mały Mountains near Miedzybrodzkie Lake on the left bank of the Sola River.

The Zar Mountain – the symbol of Czernichow district

The Zar Mountain (761 m above sea level) is the most characteristic point in the scenery of the Beskid Maly mountains. Miedzybrodzie is situated on the slopes of Zar Mountain and at its foot. You can enjoy fantastic scenery from the top of it. For many years Zar Mountain has been a great attraction to visitors. They would come to see the enormous water container (over 2 million cubic meters) which is a part of the pumped storage hydroelectric power facility. The main machinery, though, is hidden inside the mountain: a concrete gallery leads from the lake shore to the power station.

The Zar Mountain is extensively used for sport and recreation. There are excellent conditions for flying, so gliders and para-gliders treat the top of it as a runway. The Southern slope serves as a ski slope. It is equipped with a cable car and a ski lift.
